write: There is a boy unlike the others. He has to laeve the place he
called home. He leaves with his dog compainon. He leaves the life he
once knew. He runs away, but he is being chased. Will he have to allow
the beast within to be released? He knows that he must go, but can he
really leave? (i actually had a dream that was sort of like this. I
deviated from it a bit so that i could make it better.)
Poem: Wolf Boy
One dark rainy stormy night,
A black hair boy was running
Running with a large golden dog by his side
Running through the dark and foggy woods
They were running from the fear.
They were running from the pain
They were running from an old life
They ran like the wind, tree braches scraping the boy’s arms
They ran like lightning, bushes brushing against them
They ran until they could not run anymore
He and his companion sat in the cold murky night
Breathing heavily, breathing silently
They had to get away from this place
They had to get away from everyone
No one trusted them and no one cared for them
Everyone called the boy a freak
He heard angry voices in the night
He knew that they had to leave
But they would track him and his dog
All the other dogs knew his scent
The boy could not continue, He was to weak
He looked into the brown eyes of his dog
And the dog looked into the red eyes of the boy
The boy knew what he had to do
His dog nodded, knowing what the boy thought
The boy stood tall, preparing for what he had to do
The boy succumbed to the beast inside
His body grew and shrunk in places
He grew a snout and he grew a tail
By the time the people reached them, the boy was gone
Left in his place was a black furred, red-eyed wolf
The people began to shriek, they began to rant
The wolf and dog both snarled savagely
And then they ran off into the darkness of the forest
They ran until they left the woods
They ran until they left town
They stood side by side
Looking at the place, they once called home
The dog turned to the wolf
“We can’t go back, it’s not our home anymore,” the dog said
“It never was,” the wolf growled
They both ran off and disappeared into the misty night
