week 3 blog 1: Chapter 7, poem 10 (page 63) An Anaphoric List Poem:

Slide 18
The beach is full of memories
Each wave a vivid flash
 Of my childhood days
 Just playing in the sand
The ocean calls out to you
 With each crashing wave
 Beckoning you to come
To find the secrets it holds
 The shells it washed up
Each one has a tale to tell
 The sand cries out too
So that you can find the treasure
The rocks, the grass, the dried up shells
 Knows where the gold lays
 The seagulls laugh at you
 At your attempts to find
 The hidden treasure buried deep
 Beyond our grasp
The dolphins swim and dance
Out in the ocean sea
Each play and just having fun
Just like I did
And as I look back to my past
I remember my time at the beach
The waves, the sand, the treasure digging
And all of my fun
The beach is full of memories
 Each wave a vivid flash
